Impact Labs, Where Expertise Becomes Action
Structured, expert-led forums bringing together a high-calibre cohort of Muslim professionals, practitioners and community leaders to produce credible, evidence-based outputs taken directly to ministers, officials and institutional partners
How it Works
Each Impact Lab brings together a curated cohort of Muslim experts, practitioners and community leaders around a specific theme. Over 16 weeks they build the evidence, develop positions and produce outputs that go directly to ministers, officials and institutional partners.
Convene
A curated cohort of experts and practitioners brought together around a shared policy theme.
Develop
Sixteen weeks of structured deliberation, evidence-gathering and position development, producing outputs that are rigorous enough to stand up to the most demanding audiences.
Influence
Findings go directly to ministers, senior officials, select committees and institutional partners, not just into the public domain.
Impact Labs
UKMN's Impact Labs are its most important strategic asset. Each Lab is a structured, expert-led programme producing the kind of credible, evidence-based analysis that government, funders and institutional partners recognise and take seriously.

Social Cohesion
Bringing British Muslim expertise into the heart of the government’s social cohesion agenda. We will make sure that policy is built with Muslims in the room and feeding in at every stage.

Health & Wellbeing
Ensuring Muslim doctors and other health and wellbeing experts are at the table to discuss mental and physical health challenges that affect the whole country and can highlight health inequalities with tangible outcomes for change.

Arts & Culture
Amplifying British Muslim creativity and cultural leadership, and connecting Muslim artists and practitioners to the media, institutions and policy decisions that shape our national cultural life.
